Writing Prompt #6: The Old POV Switcheroo

I’ve decided to take the weekly writing prompt in a new direction. The average writer-reader reading this blog is busy, and probably has a project or two they’re working on. They might not have a lot of time to write, and the time they do have would be better spent developing said projects.

So from here on out, I’m tailoring the weekly writing prompt to specifically help develop the projects you’re already working on. Starting with this week’s writing prompt:

If you’re having trouble writing a scene, writing it from another character’s point of view might help, even if you don’t plan to keep it in their perspective in the final draft. This will help clear up any murky character motivations, and shed fresh light and new perspectives on the situation. It will also show you how other characters view your MC. Who knows, maybe you’ll like this new perspective, you’ll decide to keep it!

Until next time,
